  1. hi brigette ! it has been forever but I just came across your blog on FB and I just want to tell you I think it’s really cute and great. and I love your decorating post, your room looks like pottery barn and I love the style! I figured I will leave you a message because it’s always fun to get comments on your blog! hope you are doing well – Geena

  2. I typed “wordpress.com” with the intention of swallowing my nervous anticipation for finally starting a blog myself. Hummusbird was the first to catch my attention (the name “Travel Nostalgia: puppies + kittens from around the world) certainly helped. And to my surprise, you and I went to Highschool together (WEIRD!).

I wanted to leave a comment to tell you that your blog inspired me today. I love the aesthetics (they’re simple and chic) and really enjoy all of the pictures and comments you leave. Looking at hummusbird made the task of finally creating my own blog less daunting, so thank you.

    • Hello! Thanks for the compliments! A lot of my photos have been taken with a Nikon D5100, but recently I’ve been using a Canon 7D. I haven’t been to Norway, but I must add it to my list!

  3. Hi Brigette,

Your success and adventures as an STA world intern inspired me to become serious about applying, but I can’t figure out if they’re even reopening applications for this year. I’ve been trying everything to find out– is there any way you can please let me know what you know about the continuation of the internship? I follow your blog religiously and adore your style. I’m a total fan and hope you’re doing great things after all your adventures!

    • Hi Mona! Thanks so much for the compliments! You should absolutely apply this year. I’m actually a little jealous — I wish I could apply again! Applications open March 27th, but you can sign up here to get notifications! Good luck and let me know if I can help you with your application 🙂

      • Oh my goodness you are a saint!!! I have been trying to email, call, and go in person to the office to find out. Is there any way you can tell me a bit about how the internship was for you? I appreciate your reaching out and letting me know. If you don’t mind adding me on facebook I would love to ask you just a couple of questions.

By the way, I reblogged your “facebook the night away” video on Vimeo. That video was Amazing, with a capital A.

  4. Hey saw you on STA world travel intern and I love you videos. Do you have any tips for a girl learning everything on her own. I would love for my videos to look as great as yours. Love you blog toooo!

    BentaMaya!

    • Thanks, BentaMaya! As for tips, #1 is to be creative — when shooting AND editing! Try things that may seem weird, they just might work. I always try to keep my videos pretty fast-paced because the human eye gets bored REAL quick. Let me know if you have any specific questions, I’d love to help. Don’t be shy to send me an email!
